A DVD will only hold around 4.7 gigs, so if you have more data than that 
you're gonna have lots of DVDs.  The USB drive would be a good "staging" 
area to copy stuff to before burning to DVD.  Or just leave a copy of your 
important stuff on the USB drive, just in case your main drive fails or 
you accidentally delete something.
