Hi. I'm new to the group, though I've been to the SIG a few times. I didn't
realize there were separate advanced meetings/hangouts until recently. I see
there are no events scheduled, so I must imagine many of you are busy. Is it
still feasible to have meetings? I'm considering putting together a quick talk
on some topic, perhaps console power-users. I could give an overview of how to
use the command line on a day-to-day basis with web browsers (elinks, lynx, and
the other variants), communication (irssi and, for those who need to
communicate with work or friends through AIM, Yahoo, or ICQ, bitlbee), general
management (screen's detach feature), mailreading (mutt, elmo), and even games
(nethack, adventure, worm, etc). I'm rather shy about giving presentations of
any sort, but I'm sure I could give it a shot.
I don't have a specific date, time, or place in mind. What do y'all think?
