speaking of wasting taxpayer money. i went to my wife's grandparents
near alexandria La today. (haven't been in many months)
you have to take hwy 112 to get to their house. on this hwy 112,
starting in Melder La (does anyone know where that's at? that's the
point, it's in the middle of nowhere!) they are replacing 3 bridges.
completely replacing/rebuilding. AND while they replace the main
bridge on the road, they have built a temporary bridge for people to
be able to go around while they're working on the main bridge.
completely rediculous and a waste. all this, while on hwy 190, for the
past 5 years, they've been working on two bridges there, at the same
time, for the whole 5 years (or more). they must have finished in the
past 6 months. i'm sure they started since the hurricane and could
have used that money more wisely somewhere else.
sorry for the vent, but sheesh!
