look, i agree with you.  i am playing devil's advocate and pointing out 
to you that the lawmakers look at these incidents and believe video 
games are to blame in some of the cases.

i am in favor of restricting sale of M rated games, just like movies and 
compact discs have been restricted for  years and years now.  it can 
only help.  it can't hurt anything.  but you are right, ignant parents 
will probably buy them anyway.
