If you want something quick and dirty you can test apache, mysql,
perl/php/python..
check out xampp
http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html

download, extract, execute and you'll have the whole suite up and running.
The site says, "don't use this for production use" but if you're just
doing something
in house and not publishing to the world, then it should be cool.
At least you can test your app first!
