Yes. LVM and /boot don't mix. You can do it, but you shouldn't. I know
for a fact that some backup software for example bombs on bringing a
system back up if /boot is on LVM.

So generally you see:

/boot
swap
LVM
 -> /
 -> /var
 -> /home
 -> /usr
 -> /tmp
