There are ip filters such as "safe peer" to block known RIAA and MPAA ip 
ranges. Naturally this would be hard to make 100% accurate, but it helps 
at least a bit....

And I agree, these greedy entities never learn and they definitely are 
not looking after artists benefit. There are many artists who want to 
stay away from these entities.....  There was also an article some time 
back about MPAA infringing the copyrights themselves. Apparently an 
exception makes the rule in their mind.
