I've found the IRC channels for the various versions of Ubuntu are 
usually quite active with some very helpful users.  They can be found or 
irc.freenode.net at #Ubuntu, #Kubuntu, and #Xubuntu.

I downloaded the latest Kubuntu, 7.04 Feisty Fawn, and so far it's 
pretty good.  Anyone else here tried it?
