*grabs 770 and tries it*
It works!! Maybe I should read that user's guide.
The word completion works exactly the same on the N800 as the 770 (I
played around with the OS2007 hacker edition for the 770), but I would
always hit the rightmost suggested word instead of a space. Not a
problem anymore!

Oh, a quick N800 question: How do you put the device to sleep? (You
can answer that off-list)

Click on the ending you want and it fills it out. Plus you can draw a line on the keyboard to the right for 'space', left for backspace, down for enter, up for the 'shift' of whatever letter you draw it on. Neat stuff!
