[brlug-general] Feisty problem

Sometimes after leaving the computer running (monitor off) the screen comes back up as if thene is a partially miniblind in front of it. Ti may have been idle overnight or for an hour. I try to log out. If tha happens, it's o.k. when I log back in, leading me to believe it might be an X problem. Often I can't log off; enough attempts and possibly Ctrl-Alt-Del will get it to shut down and when it comes back it's o.k. This is Kubuntu, 64-bit.
