We've used both ISPs, having originally started with EAtel back in the early 90's before they abandoned Baton Rouge.  We're currently using COX.  We used ATT (BellSouth as was) prior to COX and found them unable to configure a DSL line for more than one static IP at the time.  On the other hand I have ATT at home and it's very good - fast and reliable.  
 
We currently run DNS, HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP etc on COX.  The COX commercial service is OK - no ports blocked and you do get the speeds that they quote.  Their tech support can spotty but they do have good people working for them - you just have to call back if you get a bad one. On the downside, your IP address will be in the COX block which can cause problems for mail servers if the mail server that you're talking to thinks that all COX IP blocks are home users and rejects connections.  They have an official relay that you can use if that's a problem.

What other ISPs are out here besides Cox and ATT. I’m looking to get commercial internet service… but I’m not too fond of tripling my home office price for less bandwidth. Any recommendations?
