Is apt-get install exim any easier? For a short time, I was able to run a
mail server and it did not seem like any big deal. Filtering is built into
the major mail clients and Exim's default settings for my situation looked
sane. Is these something I'm missing here?
Authenticated smtp looks like a nice thing, but won't the spammers figure it
out faster than I did?
The real solution to the spam problem is to replace the dominant POS desktop
that's responsible for 80% of the world's spam. I don't think spammers can
survive in a free software world.
Oh yeah, I have been preaching this message to people outside the choirbox
here. Ed has made the CCCC Linux SIG into the biggest one the club has.
I've been busy but I've had lots of fun on the CCCC general mailing list.
