Linux Administrator

Join a high performance team.  Northrop Grumman is looking for a Linux Administrator to join our Baton Rouge, LA office. 

    * Position will work primarily on the Linux platform.
    * Performs operating system and application patching.
    * Participates in support associated with major application upgrades.
    * Creates and maintains installation instructions for use by Tier 1 and Tier 2 personnel.
    * Provides Tier 2 application support and this function includes investigation, diagnosis, resolution, and recovery.
    * Operates as part of a larger infrastructure team and therefore must be able to communicate and work well with the other IT organizations and customers. 

 

Qualifications

    * Entry level understanding of Novell products and distributed computing concepts preferred.
    * The position is heavily focused on the installation, configuration, and removal of application software on Linux.
    * Bachelors degree in computer related discipline and 2 years of experience. Associates degree in computer related discipline with 4+ years of related experience preferred.
    * Linux certification desired.
