Message-ID: <20050208023440.57100.qmail@web31010.mail.mud.yahoo.com> I spoke with David of the CACRC today and he said there were some problems with the LTSP implementation they were working on. Apparently, it was network related. The lab itself worked like a charm, but when it was connected to the Internet, it would have lots of problems. Anybody got anymore info on that? Please share so we can put our heads together on it and possibly solve the problem. Thanks, John __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail - now with 250MB free storage. In-Reply-To: <20050208023440.57100.qmail@web31010.mail.mud.yahoo.com> Message-ID: Well, I stopped by the lab one day a few weeks back. Everything was mostly working, except for the fact that LTSP gives all of it's workstations a 192.168 private IP range. The problem was that the network uplink to which the server was connected also had the same IP/subnet. So the workstations were not able to access the internet. While I was there I tried to change the IP subnet of the LTSP server/clients. However, apparently I missed something and afterwards other things did not work. I need to stop back by there one day and give it a look, but I don't find myself in Baton Rouge very often during the weekday. Unless they have uninstalled things, LTSP is setup and ready to go, it's just some of the network settings that need adjusting. -- Brad Bendily - CNA/CLE Systems Administrator Southeastern Louisiana University Phone 985.549.3643 Fax 985.549.5777 On Mon, 7 Feb 2005, John Hebert wrote: > I spoke with David of the CACRC today and he said > there were some problems with the LTSP implementation > they were working on. > > Apparently, it was network related.
