All of the client can work goodly, but sometimes during the operation (browsing or another activity) the client computer get hang.... so i have to restart the computer. It didn't happen all the time, sometimes there were no problem at all. I'm so confused, what's the problem? Although i've used LTSP quite a bit, i haven't seen this problem. Does this happen on all the client machines? Have you checked your network equipment? Have you checked for problems on the server? Maybe bad NIC? You may want to look at mailing list at: http://www.ltsp.org/support.php This list is not very active, we started it for a specific project that kinda died down a while back. Message-ID: I think it happened to all my machines. I'll try to give you my experience when I have this problem. There were 4 users using 4 client, after browsing for 10 or 15 minutes, someone suddenly say 'oups my computer get hang', but it didn't happen to any of us. And then when I played alone, it happened to me..... it happened in the different computer. I've checked the NIC, there were no problem with it, because didn't use the same NIC for the computer, and neither did the server. I ever think the problem is 'switch'. we used 10/100 Mbps. Can it be? Sure, it could be the switch. But it's hard to tell from you client machines, since they're locked up. Message-ID: Thank u, i'll try it. but now i have another problem, when i want to add a client using AcerMate 920 the booting went well, but when the booting finished the screen displayed a black one. it's just a black display, nothing happened.I configure /opt/ltsp/i386/etc/lts.conf XSERVER = XF86_SVGA i hope you can understand what i mean. i've tried to change the configure in lts.conf, XSERVER = ati, because i see it in the first loading. but it didn't work. could u help me?
