Greetings all,
For those that are new to the SIG, there is a free Linux magazine that bills itself as "The First and Only Magazine for the New Linux User". It is delivered electronically in PDF format and has all of the color and flash of any high dollar slick paper printed magazine. Go to www.tuxmagazine.com and subscribe for your free copy. They consistantly publish a number of very good "HOWTO" articles that specifically target the Linux Desktop user. This month's issue also contains a very nice review of the Xandros 3 Deluxe Edition. Here are few quites from that article:
"The Xandros desktop and included applications are tweaked to work perfectly, each and every time, without exception. With Xandros there is no need to straddle the fence of indecision any longer. Don't delay--take that important first step."
"The Xandros motto is "making Linux work for you", and if you are one of the numerous fence-straddlers out there, Xandros is speaking to you."
"What you will not find in Xandros is a hodge-podge of multiple programs, but the very best chosen applications modified so they work reliably and consistently every time."
"All in all, we found the Xandros experience to be very user-friendly, an absolute enjoyment to use, spruced up and tweaked to work right each time and every time, which makes this edition a very wise investment. Simply put, Xandros rocks!""
Enjoy,
Ed
