Greetings all,
I managed to figure out how to make a boot CD to boot Linux on the lab
computers without having to use a hard drive based boot loader. I went over
to the lab Friday afternoon and was able to successfully boot every computer
in the lab into Xandros except for Lab-01 and the instructors computer. The
instructors machine won't boot from the CD drive and I think there is some
other kind of hardware problem with Lab-01 as we have had problems in the
past with it. So, unless something changed on the other lab machines since
about 2 PM Friday afternoon, we will be doing the workshop live tomorrow
nite. Woooo Hoooo!! I made 6 boot CD's, complete with labels, that we will
put in a secure location. If you want to come early and participate in the
"boot up party" come on. I plan to be there by hopefully 5:30. maybe even a
bit earlier. Also, I think I have solved the problem with the desktop on my
laptop being larger than the projected image on the overhead projector in the
lab so I don't think we will have to fight that any longer either.
See everyone tomorrow evening at 6 PM,
Ed
