[brlug-newbies] Dell Customers DEMAND Linux on new feedback site

I once heard a reporter ask Michael Dell (paraphrasing) "why don't you sell
computers with Linux pre-installed?" His response was that there were simply
too many different distributions and they didn't want to have to support all
those various different distros. With Michael Dell back in charge we may not
see a change very soon. There is also the chance that the growing
dissatisfaction with Windows Vista and huge increase in Macintosh ownership
could have caused Mr. Dell to reevaluate the marketplace and offer Redhat,
Suse, or Ubuntu. Only time will tell.
