Greetings all, 

In the upcoming Linux SIG, we will look at the features and functions of a 
number of multi-media applications including Amarok, Music Manager in 
Xandros, K3B, the premier CD/DVD burning software package for Linux, K9Copy, 
a package that lets you create back-up copies of your DVD's, and maybe a few 
more things. 

Since the Linux Lab is not up and running yet, and the computers in the 
Computer Lab won't boot Xandros after the reimaging of Windows, we won't be 
using the lab computers for this workshop. If you have a laptop or desktop 
machine that you can bring to work along with me, feel free to do so, but 
until the Linux Lab is up and running, we will be back to a lecture only 
mode. Hopefully, we will have the Linux Lab fully operational in the next 4 
to six weeks. The SIG (primarily Joe Zachary) has pretty much everything 
ready to go. We are just waiting on getting electricity installed on the 
parking lot most wall of the room. 

As usual, we will be meeting at 6 PM, Monday, August 6th in the Computer Lab.
