Don,
You want to remove all the partitions and get back to a Microsoft MBR.
A quick search of google for "reset mbr windows xp" gives
http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Uninstalling_the_Boot_Manager_GRUB_from_the_MBR
The summary - Boot from your favorite Windows of your choice CDROM or
floppy. Get to a command prompt.
Once you get to the command prompt, use fdisk to remove all the
partitions. Use fdisk to reset the MBR, 'fdisk /mbr'.
Create your new partitions, and install OS of your choice.
