I recently switched from Bell South to Cox and I'm still using my Linksys WRT54GL router that I originally bought to share my DSL wirelessly. Bellsouth tech support even walked me through setting it up. I don't see why you would need a special router. If your modem is integrated then I could see the need for a change but no special router is need for DSL.
If you want a Bell South Westell Modem I think I still have mine but you would have to come to Metairie to get it.

I am switching from Cox cable to Bellsouth and I've
been told I cannot use the Linksys router I've been
using with cox with Bellsouth DSL. Supposedly I need
a special DSL router from Bellsouth. Does any one
know about this and where I can get a DSL router
besides the phone company.
