Greetings all,
The next workshop will be held on Monday, May 21, 2007 at 6 PM in the club lab. In this workshop we will start off with a look at how Linux is not Windows. Then we will look at the multitude of features and capabilities of the Xandros File Manager, the Xandros killer application, and one of the things that set Xandros apart from the other Linux distributions. If we have time, we will also do a brief overview on the KDE desktop, with a more in depth workshop on that in the near future. This workshop is the first in the series of what is basically "Linux For Windows Refugees", so if you have been wanting to get started using Linux, this is the workshop to start with.
The SIG workshops have been very well attended. If you are a Clicker's member (and if not, you should be at only $45 per year), please be sure and go to the Clicker's web site and register for the workshop so that you can be assured of having a computer to work with. Those that have laptops are encouraged to bring them and use them during the workshop so that others can use the lab computers.
As always, the first 15 minutes of the workshop will be dedicated to answering questions.
See everyone Monday evening.
Ed
