Greetings all, 

The next Linux Desktop SIG Workshop will be Monday, November 19th at 6 PM in 
the Linux Lab. During the first half of the workshop Cal Esneault will take 
us on a guided tour of Digikam, also known as Photo Manager in Xandros. 
Digikam is a program to not only retrieve pictures from your camera and help 
you organize them but also has some really nice and quite powerful "quick 'n' 
dirty" editing and enhancing features. Bring your cameras and sync cables and 
work along with Cal. 

During the second half of the workshop, I will be demonstrating the new Asus 
Eee PC mini-laptop, which comes with a special version of Xandros Linux 
pre-installed. If you haven't seen this thing, you are in for a real treat. 
If you are a gadget head like I am or you are looking for a really cool gift 
for a family member or friend, you don't want to miss this. This thing is 
amazing!, and for $399 is also, at least in my opinion, is quite a bargain.
