[brlug-newbies] HD Information and question

Has anyone out there tried to replace an "ailing" internal HD with an
external type HD, remounted internally, and becoming the primary?

I've got the drive physically mounted and hooked up, run scans for bad
sectors, etc, but don't know where to go from here.  Can't seem to get it to
"boot" the system.  Guess things have changed more than I thought from the
"old DOS" days.

Any suggestions?
