I think we made some good progress. Again, I want to personally thank Cal, Ron, Carl, Bill, Pete and anyone else that helped get Ubuntu installed on the Linux Lab Computers. I have created an account for the SIG on SlideShare.net and have uploaded both of the slide presentations there. I will be glad to share the password with anyone that wants to upload additional presentations there, or you can figure it out yourself if you are just a little bit clever. We have a free limit of 50 MB. You can watch them there (without any of the animation) or download them for your own use. The "Why Linux" presentation is not finished, but any input that anyone would like to offer will be appreciated. I will be using it for our part of the Open House on Saturday. I will upload the final version late this week. Please watch the "Path Forward For The Linux SIG" presentation and let us know which areas of the "Things That Need To Be Done" part you are willing to either take ownership of or help with. This SIG belongs to you, not to Joe, Will, Cal, Ron, Carl, me or any other single individual and it will only succeed as we all know that it can, if we all pull together to make it happen. I got to tell our story for 5 hours and gave away in excess of 20 Ubuntu Live CD's. This coming Monday we will do an InstallFest for the benefit of the new members, as well as address any hardware or installation issues that any of our current members have. Please come out and help get Linux installed on our new member's computers. For those that will be installing Linux for the first time, bring just your computer, not your monitor, keyboard or mouse. Also, if you want to dual boot Linux and Windows, prior to the InstallFest please run both the error checking routine and defragment your hard drive. You will also need a minimum of 4 gigabites of free hard drive space and more than 4 is even better. See everyone Monday evening.
