I thought most any hp would work. I got a Scanjet G3110 for scanning slides and photos. I tried everything I could think of to do, but I can't get the computer to see the scanner. I looked at the /etc/scan.d/conf files and tried to enter my scanner in them but this hasn't helped. Does any have and ideas they would be willing to share. I'm using sane. I type xscanimage into the command line and I check the processes running and it shows xscanimage is running. Nothing comes up on my screen. The scanner connects through usb. Usually when I hook something to a usb port I get something on the screen showing something is hooked up, but this doesn't show anything is hooked up.
