[brlug-newbies] Fedora on Flash Drive and Wireless

Good afternoon,

I was wondering if I can install linux on an 8 gb flash drive and run it from there.  I'm not talking about a live version but a regular install.  When I google the topic, I find information saying I can and also saying I can't.  My laptop is capable of booting from the flash drive.  

I'm also having wireless trouble.  Fedora sees my card (I've tried the internal and also a wireless USB adaptor, finds the network but won't connect.

Any help is appreciated.
