Greetings all, 

The next Linux Desktop SIG Workshop will be held on Monday, May 18th at 6 PM 
in the Linux Lab. In this workshop we will sharpen our skills regarding 
installing, uninstalling and updating the base operating system, as well as 
the programs. We will also look into how to find Linux programs and how to 
determine what programs you may want to install. This will be a hands on 
workshop so be sure and sign up to insure that you will have a comptuer to 
work on, and feel free to bring your personal desktop or laptop if you wish. 
If you are having some specific issues regarding this or any other topic, 
please post them to the list and we will try and address them as well. 

Cal Esneault mentioned to me at the Board Meeting this past Monday evening 
that he has been running the latest release of Ubuntu, and is really liking 
it a lot, so he may do a demonstration of it for us too.
